Garlic
Scientific name: Allium sativum

Medicinal value
This herb is a powerful herb used as a natural antibiotic and has the capability to stimulate cell growth and activity. It reduces blood pressure in hypertension and is an excellent cure for all colds and infections of the body.

It is believed that peeled garlic cloves placed in room wards off diseases and if hung in the new home, it dispels negativity and evil. Habitat

Ginger
Scientific name: Zingiber officinale

Medicinal value
This herb is an excellent remedy for strengthening and healing the respiratory system, fighting off colds and flu, removing congestion, soothing sore throats and relieving headaches and body aches. It is recommended during pregnancy for treating morning sickness and digestive problems and for colds and sore throats.

Gingko Biloba
Scientific name: Gingko biloba

With a height of 50 to 70 feet tall, this plant prefers temperate areas with moist soils, full sun and high humidity.

Ginseng
Scientific name: Panax quinquefolia (American ginseng), Eleutherococcus senticosus (Siberian ginseng), Panax spp.

Medicinal value
This herb stimulates the body to overcome all forms of illness, lower blood pressure, increase endurance, relieving depression and in sex. It is used to tone the body during stress and to overcome fatigue. During menopause it aids in rejuvenating the system and balances hormones as well as aids in regulating hot flashes.

Habitat
It is very difficult to grow Ginseng as form initial to final this plant needs a lot of care. At the time of germination, disinfected seeds (to kill mold, which plagues ginseng at all stages of growth) can take up to a year or more. Planted in raised beds of very humus-rich soil in early autumn they must be shaded at all times. Roots are not harvested until the plants are at least 6 years old.

Goldenseal
Scientific name: Hydrastis canadensis

Gotu Kola
