Ayush India Health Fair to be Organized during Feb 23-26

February 23, 2010- The annual health fair organized by the Department of Ayush India, will be held at Bhubaneswar from February 23 to 26, 2010. Thirteen states of India including Kerala, West Bengal, Delhi, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, Uttaranchal, Bihar, Jharkhand and Tamil Nadu will participate in the Ayush Health fair where more than 65 Ayurvedic pharmaceuticals and 64 Homoeopathic manufacturing units will display their products.

The Health Minister Prasanna Acharya announced that eminent Ayush physicians will also provide free consultation in this Health Fair. Experts will discuss about various systems of treatment and about opening clinics for treatment of chronic ailments in the regions of India where these natural treatment systems prevail. The Ayush health fair in India is an attempt to satisfy the growing interests in Indian medical therapies like panchakarma, kharasutra, yoga and meditation. Apart from Ayurvedic and other natural medicine, the Ayush India health fair will display books, research papers and other papers on the research by council of Ayurveda, Siddha, Unani and Homoeopathy systems of medicine as well as on Yoga and Naturopathy. Live yoga demonstrations and information on Ayurvedic home remedies based on medicinal plants and Indian herbs will also be included in the Ayush India health fair.
