Morning sickness is a common problem faced by almost all pregnant women. The problem is associated with the feeling of nausea and vomiting when the woman is pregnant. Morning sickness however does not imply that it occurs only in the morning. This can occur or felt at almost any time of the day, but more often in the morning when the blood sugar level is down. The
morning sickness in pregnant women begin from the first or second week of pregnancy and continue up to the 4th month week.

- Ginger (Zingiber officinale): This is considered the best remedy for morning sickness. Just chew a fresh ginger flake every morning or when you have nausea feeling. You can add few drops of ginger juice in your morning tea. You can also opt for ginger candy, ginger tablets if you find fresh ginger to be too extreme to digest. Ginger candy is sweeter than the other forms.
- Lemon (Citrus limon): Another effective remedy for morning sickness is lemon. Lemon has a pleasant odour. Just the smell of a fresh lemon can prove to be very helpful in the treatment of morning sickness. Sniffing the peel of a lemon is enough to stop the morning sickness. It is also very refreshing. - Vitamin B Diet: One of the main cause of morning sickness in pregnant women is deficiency in vitamin B intake. To increase the intake of vitamin B, you should have a regular diet of salads, wheat, bananas, vegetables, sea food, chicken, etc.
- Bael juice: If the woman has persistent morning sickness problems, another effective remedy is to add few spoons of bael juice in some cooked rice and this must be taken twice or thrice a day. This is another effective home remedy.
Other Effective Remedies for Morning Sickness
- Do not remain hungry when you are pregnant. Keep eating small meals throughout the day. The typical hunger pangs and the growling feelings of the stomach must be avoided.
- Avoid spicy foods. They cause morning sickness and also increase the heat of the body, which can dangerous to the very life of the fetus.
- Practice yoga, meditation or deep breathing in fresh air without exerting much.
- Do not stay in a suffocated room, allow fresh air enter through doors and window.
- Keep your room fresh and clean. Use some good room freshener like lavender, mint that sooths your nerves and make you feel comfortable.
